Sport at Oak Lodge

Every pupil has a time-tabled weekly lesson of Physical Education, with a qualified teacher of P.E. Year 7 pupils also have a weekly swimming lesson at a local pool.

We encourage pupils to take part in sporting activities both locally and in the deaf community. The school sends teams to regional and national competitions for deaf children in football, athletics, swimming, netball, etc. A group of older boys play in a local football 5-a-side league.

We were very proud to be awarded the National Sportsmark Award in 1998.
